ABSTRACT
This chapter and the accompanying video demonstrations illustrate a real-world thematic analysis project undertaken in MAXQDA. The contributing author is Christian Schmieder, University of Wisconsin-Extension. The chapter describes the context of the project, the research objectives, the guiding methodology, and the analytic plan, which unfolds in four stages. The videos include dialogue with Christian about the pros and cons of possible alternative choices for fulfilling the analytic plan using MAXQDA.
