ABSTRACT
However, we believe that this section on its own is insufficient to show you how various careers impact on the delivery of high-quality care – only by showcasing career paths and linking them to particular aspects of care can we really demonstrate to you how exciting nursing can be and how the best possible care can be provided. In order to do this, we have designed a second section, written by practitioners, managers, researchers and educators, that melds aspects of their own career development, patient stories and the best available evidence from research, experience, policy and theory for practice.
