ABSTRACT

The office was established in 1979 and adopted its current name, Nordic — Office of Architecture, in 2012. Nordic does one of Norway’s leading architectural firms with over 170 employees comprise more than 25 nationalities with offices in Oslo, Copenhagen and London. Nordic’s ambition is to create outstanding solutions in response to clients’ and society’s needs. Digital processes and technology have developed at a fast pace. While this rapid development provides technology that helps in everyday work it also brings with it a familiar set of challenges. Practice needs to adapt these technologies to specific needs and implement them within existing routines. It also needs to educate new users and learn how to use these technologies to best effect. Architectural building projects depend on the successful exchange of information and knowledge between various groups of experts. This information exchange is supported by online digital technologies like Building Information Modelling (BIM).
