ABSTRACT
This chapter considers the different participants who are often the subject of prison research projects, and draws on key reflections from researchers about the considerations that need to be made when researching prisoners, staff, families, and victims. In addition, the position of the researcher within the research, and the need for consideration of autoethnography, is discussed and reflected upon.
