Transmedia meets the digital divide: adapting transmedia approaches to reach underserved Hispanic families

Despite well-documented benefi ts of quality preschool programs for success in school and beyond, preschool participation by Hispanic children, the largest and most rapidly growing segment of the US child population, continues to lag behind that of their peers (Annie E. Casey Foundation, 2014 ; Yoshikawa et al., 2013 ). The resulting learning gaps can persist throughout their school years – and beyond.
