ABSTRACT
Building an analytical workflow is the focus of Chapter 4. In this chapter we offer guidelines for the development of a research project that is transparent and repeatable. A broad discussion of each step of the workflow – gather, manage, prepare, explore, clean, analyze – is provided. Subsequent chapters deal with these items in greater depth. The justification for reproducibility in research is also presented.
