ABSTRACT
Chapter 5 focuses on the process of gathering real estate data, both traditional and big. Web scraping and application programming interfaces (API) are covered, as is the relevance of data curators and aggregators such as CoreLogic, APM, and governments. Some of the challenges associated with the collection process such as dealing with proprietary information are discussed.
