We hope that this book will serve as a comprehensive therapeutic reference for clinicians as well as a source of future research direction for all psychologists. The authors of this book have detailed techniques therapists can use to strive for culturally competent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of clients from diverse backgrounds. By providing a comprehensive consolidation of the existing literature, the authors have identifi ed numerous areas in which more must be done to improve the accessibility and quality of mental health care for an increasingly diverse population.
