ABSTRACT

Focusing on the importance of motivational factors of the entrepreneurship, we investigate for the drivers of gender involvement in entrepreneurial activities in the United States, Italy and France. This paper assesses differences between male and female entrepreneurs using GEM Adult Population Survey 2012 individual-level data (altogether 7,282 individuals). We employ logistic regression analysis and look for the factors concerned to following the entrepreneurial path in our region while distinguishing between men and women. We have recognised the most crucial factors from among individual characteristics as well as motivational perspectives of entrepreneurship that act as gender entrepreneurship drivers.
