ABSTRACT

Apollonia is a dental clinic located in Poltava, Ukraine, which established a successful practice based on direct esthetic dental restoration. Innovative research created new methodologies that utilize new, state-of-the-art resin composites to produce direct, individualized and customized composite dental restoration. The success of the method resulted in demand from clients and practicing dentists to receive services and professional training in Poltava. Prior to the political upheaval in 2014 and the subsequent deterioration of business between Ukraine and Russia, 60 percent of clients and 50 percent of dentists at the training center were from Russia. After 2014, the situation changed dramatically so that now 85 percent of Apollonia clients are Ukrainians. In response to these trends, strategies were devised to enter international markets. It is too early to assess the business results of the new strategies.
