ABSTRACT

The chapter deals with the issue of development of the entrepreneurship phenomenon in Lithuania in the context of periods of emergence of a market economy in Lithuania. The company Vičiūnai Group, presented in the article, is a global producer and supplier of different food products and one of the largest fish and seafood producers in Europe. The date of the company’s establishment corresponds with the beginning of transition of the Lithuanian economy from a planned to market economy; thus, this case reflects the entire Lithuanian entrepreneurship process. The evolution of the company is analysed through the main milestones of the company as well as the success factors of development and internationalisation pathways.
