ABSTRACT

The process of ICT widespread adoption, which has been observed worldwide, provides the perfect background for the ‘born global’ companies’ emergence, profoundly transforming the business environment and bringing new challenges for companies to face when wanting to survive in global and heterogeneous markets. Since 1990, the Polish economy has made huge progress in terms of economic, institutional and educational performers. Poland has also made great progress in terms of technology readiness in the last decade, which has ‘given birth’ to multiple ICT companies, which today operate successfully worldwide. This chapter aims to present general trends in the development of the Polish ICT market, giving as an example the company Aiton Caldwell.
