ABSTRACT

On her return to India Miss Dutt studied Sanscrit with her father for a year, and made two translations from the "Vishnu Purana," which were published in Anglo-Indian magazines. She next began to translate a French lady's, work" La Femme dans l'Inde Antique," but ht'r health failed, and on August 30th, 1877, she died, as her sister had done, of consumption.
