ABSTRACT

THE victors of war and conflict write both their own history and that of the other side, and the story of the Arab-Israeli conflict, and particularly the Zionist-Palestinian conflict, is no exception. The Palestinians were the last to write their narrative, and did so long after the Eurocentric Orientalists and the Zionist settlers had. However, surprisingly enough, much of the Palestinians’ historical accounts in the 20th century fall within the parameters of the victor’s discourse.
