ABSTRACT

In 2007, I teamed up with the late anthropologist and Andean studies scholar Elayne Zorn to develop the PeruDigital project (https://perudigital.org; Figure 13.1), a website designed to present and interpret Peruvian festivals and other folklore to English- and Spanish-speaking publics. On the site, the user is encouraged to adopt the perspective of the artist (performer of culture), ethnographer (researcher of culture), and/or sponsor (community-builder) within the digital environment.
