ABSTRACT
The occasion for my wife’s question came when we spent ten minutes on a Saturday afternoon waiting in line to see the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s reinstallation of its Egyptian galleries. But ten minutes is no time at all when the hardy Washingtonian wants to see Egyptian stuff. Thanks to the National Gallery of Art’s “Treasures of Tutankhamun,” we have the opportunity to wait for hours. The experience is well worth the wait.
