ABSTRACT
Northern Fennoscandia (Norway, Finland and Sweden) is geographically situated at the northwestern corner of the Eurasian continent. The region has been a long-term meeting ground of cultural, linguistic and biological influences from the Volga River Basin, Western Siberia, Eastern and Western Europe.
