ABSTRACT
I n Egypt, plant macro-remains have been recovered as o erings from tombs or as the remains of food, fuel, animal fodder etc from ancient settlements. ey have generated important contributions to the study of archaeobotany both in Egypt and beyond (de Vartavan and Asensi Amoros 1997; Murray 2000a, 2000b).
