ABSTRACT

If we wanted to simplify, for the sake of the current analysis, the functioning of a prostheses, we could say that there are three fundamental steps that separate the decision to move the hand and the action that follows. A signal is (i) emitted by the brain, arrives at a decoder through one of the UPIs described above; (ii) is interpreted and elaborated, and finally transmitted to the prosthesis; (iii) which moves accordingly.
