ABSTRACT

Finally, despite being theoretically possible to determine ex-post where the malfunctioning occurred (namely if there was a misclassification of the signal), that may still not be sufficient to assess what was the material cause of a given – eventually harmful – event. Establishing the existence of a causal nexus (Section 10) would require being able to trace the accident back to one (or more) single identifiable movements, so that in the end it is possible to analyse the data received, elaborated and generated by the UPI.
