ABSTRACT
In Section 1 , I explain the framework in which much of my discussion takes place, i.e. the Bayesian view of rationality. I then fl esh out the objection to diachronic epistemic norms, some of its common motivations, and how the debate is situated within epistemology. I introduce a few important distinctions.
