ABSTRACT

A consensus approach could be sustained for longer periods, and would bring stability and security to the nation's teaching workforce and its young people. The aim of the network is to identify, connect and support innovative schools that are empowering young people with the skills and confidence to make the world an even better place. The Spinney became an Ashoka Changemaker School in 2015, and in doing so joined the biggest global network of social entrepreneurs, and over 200 other Change maker schools. Sir Ken Robinson, co-author of Creative Schools, is one of the supporters of the Ashoka Changemaker Schools global network. This is his take on education: the aim of education is to enable students to understand the world around them and the talents within them so that they can become fulfilled individuals and active, compassionate citizens.
