ABSTRACT

This paper describes a set of the most widely used bilingual and multilingual legal resources that include phraseological information, and which are available online. The objective was to evaluate the usefulness of these resources for translation purposes. Our analysis focused on how each resource deals with access to phraseological information and the description of phraseological units. The headword ‘witness’ was used for purposes of comparison. The resources analyzed were the following: (i) InterActive Terminology for Europe (IATE); (ii) TERMIUM Plus®; (iii) JURITERM; (iv) Evroterm; (v) JuriDiCo; and (vi) MuLex.
