Conclusion

Spain and clearly undermines its role in a democratic society (Galanter, 2010; Resnik,

1995; Santos, 2009, pp. 81-128) while reducing the legal profession’s workload at the

same time. Indeed, it creates a vicious circle, since the likely reduction in the number

of lawyers triggered by the increase in court fees will only intensify problems of access

to justice.
