ABSTRACT
A natural social entrepreneur, Juliette decided to create an online platform, GIVIT. Although not a natural technologist, the idea to her seemed obvious. Through this innovative use of technology, every charity in Australia could communicate their needs to potential donors, and obtain exactly what they needed through the simple act of giving. The GIVIT website allows trusted charities to list their requests on the website where everyday Australians can donate in response to those requests. Juliette Wright is still the dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIVIT, and has been identified as an outstanding leader with some 14 awards to her credit including National Local Hero and Citizen of the Year. Juliette has been awarded for her resilience—and it is clear she has a knack of avoiding the nay-sayers—but she is very much aware of the potential legal issues any social enterprise faces.
