ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to provide, in chronological order, an overview of published, archaeological, site-discovery, survey projects in Jordan on the part of North American researchers. Over the years, in their search for sites, these researchers have used a variety of methodologies. These methodologies have changed with the change in technologies available for carrying out such work. Thus, it is important to indicate, at least briefly, the various methodologies that project directors employed in their search for sites.
