ABSTRACT
Over the past ten years or so, great changes have taken place in China's science and technology system. These changes have become an important part of the emerging technological trajectory of the Pacific Rim. However, what is more important is the fact that the restructuring and development trend of China's S&T system will influence the region's future technological trajectory to an even greater degree in the future. For this reason it is important to study the process and future structure of China's S&T system reform.
