ABSTRACT

Anthony Lewis, the new Director of Multicultural Programs, picked up The Crimson, to catch up on campus news. Since he arrived at Sawyer University six months ago, reading the student newspaper has connected him to campus events and to his students. After everyone arrived at the conference room, Bethany opened the meeting and explained that she had been receiving calls from the president, the local newspaper, and even the local news stations over this article in The Crimson. She said this is the third year in a row that a controversy related to racism in the student newspaper had occurred, and this time she was going to see that something was done about it. The conversation continued to go back and forth. John Hausman advocated for his students, Elizabeth and Peter, but he also acknowledged that they had made mistakes.
