ABSTRACT

This chapter will examine “water sharing” in the Sanuki Plain to address the unprecedented severe drought of 1994 from the perspective of inclusive wealth. Referring to Dasgupta’s framework for sustainable economic development (Dasgupta 2004), I will extract and analyze the principle characteristics of water sharing conducted in 1994 in the Sanuki Plain.
