ABSTRACT
While the geographic focus of this book as a whole is on the United States, creative and cultural industry scholars around the world are watching with great interest the current cultural facilities building boom in Asia. Performing arts centers (PACs) have for decades served as an important area of urban planning investment in North America and Australia, but this area of urban infrastructure development is relatively new to China and Southeast Asia.
