ABSTRACT

This chapter provides reflections from three individuals who played a full role in the Experience of Worship project, particularly in the two enactment weeks at St Teilo's Church during June and September 2011. John Francis Moss served as acolyte at the Lady Mass in June 2011, and Judith Aveling sang with two different groups of singers at Vespers and antiphon of the Blessed Virgin Mary and at the Jesus Mass the following September. Keith Beasley, the project administrator, occupied a single medieval persona in the nave during all of the St Teilo's enactments. Judith Aveling played a major role in the preparation of the edition for the Jesus Mass enactment, and her doctoral thesis explores various issues surrounding the medieval cult of the Holy Name of Jesus. John Francis Moss's doctoral research has no direct relation to the Experience of Worship project, although his MA thesis—a review of a modern pagan kith and its ritual practice.
