Bullying of religious minorities and asylum seekers

In the final week of July 2016, the UK saw a 57% increase in xenophobic abuse as reported widely in the national press. Although the level of overt abuse is unprecedented, the attitudes underlying such abuse are not new. In this chapter, we are particularly focussed on how such attitudes may affect the bullying of asylum seeking and religious minority children, who typically come from ethnic and religious minority immigrant backgrounds.
