ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a summary way the symbolic space of one of the religions of Western Amazonia called the Spiritist Center and Cult of Prayer 'House of Jesus Source of Light', called the Barquinha. It emphasizes the essential component of Barquinha is Daime. The chapter designates the ritual experience in the places of the boat as the sewing, for it is in the ritual author finds the key to the expression of the logic and the felt experience. It discusses the symbolism of Barquinha, to understand the rituals within the spatial structure, which are presented/represented by the sailors and officers of the sacred sea. The chapter selects three architectural symbols: the table in the form of a cross, the outdoor Cross of church, and park. It means a set of religious practices that tend to form a specific doctrine in which there is a great velocity of incorporating and removing elements from diverse religious practices by cosmology in construction.
