ABSTRACT
I have been teaching dance education courses in higher education for almost thirty years, twenty-five of them at an institution that is nationally known for its teacher education program in dance. Despite this longevity, I claim only experience and reflexivity, not authority; I write this chapter as an explorer sharing my discoveries, not as an expert qualified to tell others what should be done at their institutions.
