ABSTRACT
The GREEN MAN; or Periodical Expositor was a London weekly miscellany published by John Glaville in three volumes from October 31, 1818, through July 24, 1819. After a brief hiatus, the journal began a new series as the Green Man; and Independent: Weekly, which lasted just three numbers, August 21—September 11, 1819. Near the end of the magazine’s first series appeared the following two reviews of Byron’s poems.
