The poem to the Princess Charlotte mentioned on page 148 was “Lines to a Lady Weeping,” which was printed at the end of the second edition of The Corsair, omitted from the third edition, and finally reinstated in the fourth. The reviewer (“H.”) sounds like a cast-off friend of Byron’s.
