ABSTRACT

Byron, “Heaven and Earth” [in The Liberal] (1823), and Moore, Loves of the Angels (1823); Eclectic Review, 2nd Series, XIX (March 1823), 210–217. Again, Byron’s poem is reduced in stature by reviewing it with a work by a lesser poet. The author of this review was apparently the reviewer of Cain, obviously a younger writer to whom Byron seems old hat.
