ABSTRACT
ENTERTAINING MAGAZINE; or, Repository of General Knowledge was a London monthly that published three volumes, 1813–1815. It is perhaps worth remark that many of the journals of the period indicate, in their titles and subtitles, that the readers of the time desired to be entertained while they learned and to be informed while they relaxed. Only the following two-part review from the Entertaining Magazine is reprinted in these volumes.
