ABSTRACT

Built in three stages beginning in 1984, the five-story Wilkinson Building at the University of Sydney is home to the Faculty of Architecture, a 1500-student, multi-disciplinary faculty including architecture, urban and regional planning, urban design, design computing, digital media, environment-behavior studies, facilities management, and six other environmental design disciplines. The University, the oldest and best in Australia, has built an international reputation for its outstanding research and teaching excellence, including leading the nation for many years in competitive funding from the Australian Research Council (equivalent to the American National Science Foundation).
