ABSTRACT
The method is to simulate the growth of patterns on the computer and identify growth-controlling rules by application of which certain patterns result. Library Files store large amounts of information about a variety of building types, land parcels and cost data. The programming of any facility larger than a single structure and involving more than one parcel of land often begins with an explorative study of alternative land uses and building types. Each space can be assigned relational attributes with respect to other spaces. Financial implementation consists of a schedule of financial events describing the operation of the project. Events can be weighed with respect to the time value of money and staging schemes can be explored. “Systems”, being the outstanding buzz word of the last decade, in our case, is used to mean a process consisting of a series of computer programs manipulating a common data base, and the associated user techniques.
