ABSTRACT
The future has always been a controversial place, a melting pot of possible and impossible worlds at which we can only guess. In cultural and artistic terms, the present moment itself is also not without critical debate. Nevertheless, among international scholars of contemporaneity, a critical consensus does appear to be forming – a consensus that we have in some way laid postmodernism to rest.
