ABSTRACT
I don’t remember anyone ever talking about ending a clinical practice and the challenges that must be confronted in order to make the best ethical decisions for the clients involved. How do you leave a client who suddenly has a debilitating stroke, or a client whose daughter dies unexpectedly during the last week of treatment? These are some of the challenges I faced when I closed my practice a few months ago.
