ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews frameworks of international business ethics and demonstrates the philosophical, social, political and organizational theories adopted in this programme and how they apply to business. The approach emphasizes self-awareness, using case study analysis, experiential exercises, reflective questioning and discussion. As ethics relates to all forms of personal and organizational decision-making, it is an essential element of business knowledge, one that may assist future managers to avoid the personal and organizational turmoil associated with the corporate collapses recently seen in Europe and the USA. The international applications of business ethics concern those who wish to work with multinational corporations or in any form of international business.
