ABSTRACT
These are variants of questions that I listed in an opening slide of a presentation I made at the Organisational Learning, Culture and Knowledge Conference in July last year. I was midway in a move from one approach, namely critical and social realism, to another, namely practice-based approaches, as these intersect with feminist or new materialisms and posthumanism. This process of crossing from one approach to another has been at times exhilarating, and at times extremely painful. I am sharing this process with the readers of this volume, as a means to refl ect on the questions I listed above. The style of this chapter is somewhat untraditional, as it hovers between on the one hand the autobiographical, narrative and introspective, and the other hand, the discursive and analytic.
