ABSTRACT

This chapter reflects the meeting of practice and writing in the style of the author’s notebooks. As he considered the criticality of his practice, its manifestation in multiple fields, he realised that his notebooks had always been the central glue between what he created, what he had read and how he reflected or formed questions. The chapter, then, is a series of illustrations about that practice that also contain writing – whether the chapter exists as an artwork in and of itself or as a body of writing is really at the nub of how a reader might judge it.
