ABSTRACT
Numerous academics have attempted to define leadership and management generally, and in the context of specific industries. Indeed, if you visit a library, you will find entire sections dedicated to understanding what is meant when we use these terms. This chapter is designed to do the same by exploring the concept of leadership and management in community sport organisations. It is by no means a definitive guide, and we would encourage those with an interest in these areas to build on what we develop in this chapter by engaging with the guided reading at the end.
