ABSTRACT

We all know that the climate disruption expected to result from increasing concentrations

of atmospheric greenhouse gases will have impacts on the climates of many countries.

In all countries, temperatures will increase. In some countries there will be more rainfall

than at present, and in others less. Such changes may have profound impacts on the food-

water-energy conditions in some of these countries. This will be particularly true for

populous dryland countries that already have marginal climates and water-stressed

agricultural systems.
