In “Dancing on the Tongue,” Mee asks, “What does it mean to ‘taste’ theatre?” Using examples from This Is Not A Theatre Company’s A Serious Banquet (2014), Versailles (2015), and Impractical Theatre’s Three Sisters (2014), she explains how rasa theory “allows us to understand—more fully than other aesthetic theories—the pleasures of immersive and participatory performance.”
