ABSTRACT

Organizations face pressure from a variety of stakeholders to operate in a fair and socially responsible manner. In the twenty-first century, this pressure is magnified, because the internet has made it incredibly easy to share news of corporate misdeeds. Those that perceive they have been the victim of injustice at the hands of corporate America are no longer alone; through the use of the internet, one can reach others who have been victimized in the same way and rally other stakeholders to the cause. Further, stakeholders no longer have to champion their needs alone as one Web site or blog can serve as a portal for all stakeholders to come together with their issues and needs.
