ABSTRACT

With population centres established on more than 30 major islands within a 700-island archipelago, The Bahamas, through its Ministry of Tourism, is committed to communicating the idea that this archipelago represents a series of independent and highly differentiated destinations where visitors can experience multiple island destinations offering unique island products and differential destinations on each island. While this concept represents archipelago tourism in its truest form, effectively promoting it has proven to be a monumental task for those charged with disseminating that information in the marketplace.
